Overall Role
Rotate working within Pathfinder Client Service, Operations, and Investment Teams. The position is responsible for general assistance related to clients, the investment management team, trade and office support. This includes paperwork, client communication, modeling, research, trading and various types of administrative support and ad hoc tasks.
Job Description
ACTIVITY A: Client Service and Business Development Support (50%)
- Manage new client on-boarding: paperwork, transfers & administration
- Assist and resolve client requests or issues
- Assist Investment Counsel Team with account reviews
- Prepare new client and existing annual packages
- Assist with prospect proposals & financial planning
- Participate in cold calling
ACTIVITY B: Trading, Operations, Administration & Office Support (25%)
- Assist Trade Team with market transactions
- Communicate with custodians and brokers as required
- Trading and Settlements of public and private transactions
- Assistance with Investment Policy Statements (checking account compliance, generating IPS)
- Work with and assist application development team to improve processes and digitize workflows
- Filing and scanning for all teams as needed
ACTIVITY C: Research Assistance (25%)
- Financial modeling and coverage of specific companies and industries
- Preparation of morning compliance package
- Preparation of daily macro package
- Administration of daily data models and trade platform
- Special projects as assigned by investment team
Preferred Qualifications
- Available to a recent graduate with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Canadian Securities Course is an asset
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High emphasis on ethics and integrity
- Attention to detail and quality of service
